Sophie and Mitchell married at Stonebarn on 17th December 2022. Sophie came across an Instagram post of Stonebarn and thought the venue looked amazing. Stonebarn was therefore the first venue they looked at after getting engaged. They instantly fell in love with the place and booked it straight away. Mitchell’s family are from Pemberton and the couple spend a lot of time in the area, so it seemed like the perfect fit for them.
Sophie and Mitchell booked Stonebarn’s two night weekend package. They travelled down the day before the wedding. This allowed them the day before to set up and relax before the big day. Below is an example of signage designed by Mila and May set up early.
Their ceremony wasn’t until 4pm on the Saturday which gave them both, and the bridal party, most of the day to get ready. This also meant the photographer, Tessa Eckersley Photo, and videographer, Ebony Vukelic, had time to capture a relaxed couple in the natural beauty of Stonebarn’s grounds.
The late ceremony meant that Sophie had plenty of time to have her makeup done by Tori Overstone and her hair styled by Jorja Astill of Suede. Sophie’s stunning dress was from Marquise Bridal and her shoes were from Manning Cartell. Mitchell’s suit was from Van Heusen.
The couple held their ceremony at the Lower Clearing and Candice of Silver Linings Celebrant conducted the ceremony. Here they exchanged rings from Michael Hill. They hired furniture from Hire in Style and Manjimup Florist created the amazing floral arrangements.
The reception was held on the verandah where the newly-weds were toasted with alcohol from Pemberley of Pemberton and everyone enjoyed a fabulous feast created by Deborah Sillaots of Sooma. Later they danced into the night with music by Katie White and Anomaly DJs.
The whole day was so special for Sophie and Mitchell. Their bridal party stayed at the venue with them. It was certainly a highlight for them to have such special people celebrate with them for the weekend, not only for the wedding day. They both felt so relaxed at Stonebarn and the entire weekend was truly something special. Many of their guests commented on how amazing Stonebarn was and that they had never been anywhere quite so beautiful.
Sophie shares her experience with us: “I think what made the wedding so amazing was celebrating with our closest loved ones. We loved being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. It took away any stress of moving from one venue to the next. We also loved the fact that Stonebarn was a blank canvas and our wedding could be exactly what we wanted. There was so much flexibility and with no curfew we could decide when the celebrations concluded. Stonebarn was our dream wedding location and had everything we wanted and more.”
Thank you so much Sophie and Mitchell for sharing your Stonebarn wedding experience with us. We wish you all the best on this wonderful journey, as you build your new lives together.
