Stonebarn Real Weddings: Elisha & Kyle

Elisha & Kyle's Stonebarn Wedding

Elisha & Kyle exchanged their wedding vows at Stonebarn on 10th October 2024. Elisha has kindly shared with us the beautiful photographs taken by photographer Gordon Becker on their special day.

Elisha and Kyle found Stonebarn as a result of a Google search. They booked a viewing and before they had even left the driveway, they had decided that Stonebarn would be their venue. It was the only venue they viewed.

They chose Stonebarn because they absolutely love the area. Elisha and Kyle travel and camp a lot and always love their time spent around Pemberton because of its beauty. They also loved the fact they could stay in the lodge with their closest family and friends. Many family members were going to be travelling to the wedding from the UK and interstate, so they loved that they were able to have a few of them stay in the lodge with them.

They also loved the different location options in case of undesirable weather. They didn’t however need to worry about this as the weather turned out to be perfect. Furthermore, they loved the fact that they were hiring just the venue exclusively and they could pick and chose their other vendors. It meant they got to have everything they personally wanted there, rather than being restricted to vendors that the venue supplies. Elisha and Kyle used Lauren Green Events to plan and coordinate all the vendors as well as ensure the smooth running of the day.

They booked the 2 night mid-week package and added an extra night. Elisha and Kyle travelled down on the Wednesday morning so that we could spend the day setting up. They used Stonebarn’s arbour free of charge and hired some of our white gladiator chairs. Scentiment Flowers decorated the arbour with a beautiful rose and eucalyptus display and they adorned the aisle with vases of flowers as well as setting up two large floral displays atop the wine barrels at the entrance to the aisle.

The evening before the wedding they had a BBQ with the bridal party and close family members. It was a lovely evening to relax and settle the nerves a little bit. They left on Saturday morning, it was lovely to have another night after the wedding to really soak in all the magic after the chaos. They were so glad they picked the 3 night package.

As their ceremony didn’t start until 3pm, they had most of the day to get ready onsite. Grace Dyson did Elisha’s make up and Madison Lilburne Hair styled Elisha’s hair.

The ceremony was held at the Upper Clearing. This was their first option and they were praying the weather would turn it on for them. And it sure did! Stephen (AKA Spray), a close friend of the bride and groom, conducted the service. This made the ceremony even more special.

Gordon Becker Photography and videographer Josh Ball took some great shots and videos of the couple at many of the amazing locations on the property before Elisha and Kyle returned to the reception.

They held their reception on the verandah and grassed area. They personalised this space with furniture hired from Hire In Style and Mint Events Collective

Mint Events Collective also served drinks from their vintage mobile caravan bar at the end of the verandah.

The reception was relaxed, cocktail style with canapés and bigger bites from Hooleys Catering Company. Butter Up Cake & Co made the cake.

Sally Jane Music provided live guitar and vocals during pre-dinner drinks while Paula from Retriever Sound was the DJ for the night. With no curfew at Stonebarn, Elisha and Kyle could choose when the party would end. Warren Bus Service collected everyone staying off-site at midnight.

When we asked Elisha what her standout moments were, she responded with the following:

“The ceremony, the Upper Amphitheatre is a STUNNING place to get married. The back drop behind the arbour is breathtaking and just being up there makes you feel so close to nature and the outdoors, which is so us. We love being outdoors.”

Also, all of the following made the wedding simply amazing: “The location, the weather, the friends and family that travelled far and wide to spend the day with us, and the amazing vendors.”

Thank you so much Elisha & Kyle for sharing your wedding experience at Stonebarn with us. We wish you so much love and happiness on your new venture together.
