Mandy and Alex celebrated New Year’s Eve 2024 by getting married at Stonebarn. In Mandy’s own words, “Shannon (Stent Images) got some epic photos”, featured below. While J.Studios captured and created vibrant, eye catching reels and social media posts.
Mandy and Alex found Stonebarn through a Google search. They wanted the stone look which is hard to find in Perth. Consequently Stonebarn was the first place that came up.

Stonebarn was the only venue they looked at as it ticked all their boxes. Mandy and Alex could hold both the ceremony and wedding reception there. They could also provide accommodation for their bridal party and not be restricted on noise, catering/styling etc. In addition, Stonebarn doesn’t require a minimum spend on anything or other restrictions. This meant that Mandy and Alex could have their dogs there for the wedding which was important for them.

Above all, what attracted them the most to Stonebarn was the verandah area. Mandy tell us “it was stunning and a perfect place to have a tunnel of fairy lights (which we had).”

Mandy and Alex booked Stonebarn’s 2 night mid-week wedding package and added on an additional night. As a result they could do a welcome drinks and recovery day with their guests, allowing Mandy & Alex to spend their wedding day together.
They travelled down 2 days before and stayed in an Airbnb (where their dogs were staying with friends). Mandy and Alex wanted to get their dogs settled in as they were going to be staying with other people for 3 nights. They also wanted to just take some time for themselves.
As their ceremony wasn’t until 5pm, Mandy had plenty of time to get ready onsite for her big day. Kally Reddy MUA applied Mandy’s makeup in the relaxed atmosphere of one of Stonebarn’s luxurious ensuite bedrooms.

They held their ceremony at the Upper Clearing. They hired furniture from Hire In Style. Erin Hansen Events did an amazing job styling and coordinating the whole wedding.

Holding the ceremony at the Upper Clearing meant that one of Mandy’s bridesmaids could drive Alex’s Landcruiser to the Lower Clearing “which was hilarious and fun” and Mandy only then had a short distance to walk to the Upper Clearing ceremony site.

Kristy Cochrane of Your Celebrant Bestie officiated the ceremony. She injected so much feel and wit in her recount of Mandy and Alex’s love story that it put Mandy and Alex at ease and provided great entertainment for their family and friends.

Farmhouse Flowers created the beautiful green and white bouquets which matched the bride and the bridesmaids.

Following the ceremony Shannon & Jade took the newly weds to different locations around the estate to capture some “epic photos down by the river and dam which just looked incredible”…”Shannon and Jade were really good at making the photos fun and quick for us, telling us exactly what to do (we aren’t really photo people and was exactly what we needed) they were also a huge vibe.”

While the Shannon and Jade took photos of Mandy and Alex, the guests returned to the lodge for a relaxed wedding reception on the verandah and grassed area, which was decorated with furniture from Hire In Style and lighting from Festoon.

Allure Bar Cart provided the bar service, Tailored Grazing supplied the grazing tables, while Paella On The Move catered the reception and Get Baked By Hal made the macarons.

The Wedding DJ was the MC and DJ for the evening and also provided the photo booth. This entertainment was the perfect atmosphere for the both bridal party entrance and Mandy & Alex’s entrance.

With no curfew at Stonebarn, the party continued late into the night.

As many of Mandy’s friends and family live over east, it was so special for her to be able to see them all together. They loved having Stonebarn all to themselves for 3 nights and being around all their family, friends and bridal party which was so much fun!
Congratulations Mandy and Alex and thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding story and photos with us. We wish you a lifetime of fun, love-filled adventures together.
