Real Weddings: Chloe & Chad

Chloe & Chad Stonebarn Wedding

At the end of the winter last year, Chloe & Chad tied the knot at Stonebarn on 28.08.24. They weren’t even engaged when they came to view the venue!

They live in Port Hedland and were coming to Perth for a holiday and staying down south for a couple of weeks. On a whim Chloe decided to do a Facebook search for venues catering for wedding groups. She thought it would be fun to visit a few venues as part of their holiday. They decided to book a viewing of Stonebarn.

After their tour of Stonebarn they didn’t bother visiting any other venues. Instead, they got engaged and booked Stonebarn immediately. Luckily they had Victoria Baker as their wedding photographer and ONE12 Productions to capture any spontaneity that might occur on their wedding day!

Chloe & Chad chose our mid-week 2 night wedding package and added on extra night. As they had to travel all the way from Port Hedland, the 3 nights meant they had more time to travel down the day before the wedding and they didn’t have to rush off the morning after the wedding.

As their ceremony wasn’t until 2.30pm on 28th August, they had most of the day to get ready. Chloe used Bridgetown based makeup artist Jayne MUA for her makeup. She also used local hairdresser, Marley from the Nook Manjimup, to style her hair.

They chose the Upper Clearing for their ceremony and used the Lower Clearing as a car park so that Chloe and guests didn’t have to get wet or muddy en route to the ceremony location.

They used our arbour and church pews free of charge and hired some of our white gladiator chairs for the ceremony.

The ceremony was fun and beautiful as everyone got involved and the kids were able to run around and play. In fact, although Married by Magdalena was their celebrant, it was their son who pronounced them husband and wife.

As it was a winter wedding and the weather was unpredictable, they held their reception undercover in the Gazebo. They hired 10 of our trestle tables and more white gladiator chairs for their reception setup.

The reception food was created and served by Supper Road. It was incredible and the wedding guests still rave about it.

The Gazebo is so spacious that Chloe and Chad could set it up for a long table sit-down wedding as well as having a dance floor there. The newly-weds were able to use this space for their first dance – for which they’d only had one lesson and two practices.

In between the celebrations Victoria Baker Photography took some stunning photos of the couple at so many different locations around the 160 acre Stonebarn estate which was exclusively theirs for the three nights.

It was so special to them both to be able to spend so much time with family and friends the day before, the day of and the day after. It turns out that friends of theirs from Port Hedland also got married at Stonebarn. They didn’t know them at the time of their wedding but they were chatting at mothers group and realised. Chloe says it ‘was awesome to speak to someone before and after the wedding that had previously been.’

Congratulations Chloe & Chad! We wish you both a wonderful journey of marriage together. Thank you so much for choosing Stonebarn as your wedding venue and sharing your wedding story with us!
